How we rate sellers
Every listing has a status and a 0–100 risk score. Here is exactly how they are set.
Status
Status is set by a moderator, never automatically:
- Reported: at least one published buyer report.
- Confirmed scam: strong evidence, such as several independent reports with matching details, proof of payment with no delivery, a cloned or impersonating website, or public action by authorities or a marketplace.
- Cleared: reviewed and no longer considered a warning, for example when a real business's identity had been misused.
Risk score
The score starts from the status (Confirmed 80, Reported 35, Cleared 0) and adds up to 12 points for the number of published reports and up to 8 points for the total amount buyers reported losing. It is capped at 100. It's a quick indicator, not a verdict. Always read the reports.
Losses
"Reported lost" is the sum of amounts that buyers entered in published reports. We don't audit these figures.
Ratings
Ratings are the stars chosen by reporters, from 1 (paid and received nothing) to 5.
