We started CarSaleScam after seeing how many people lose deposits to sellers of cars, pickups, tractors and farm equipment that never existed.

Fraudsters set up convincing websites and marketplace listings, borrow photos and addresses from real dealers, and ask for a wire deposit to "hold" the vehicle or pay for shipping. When the website disappears they start again under a new name, often reusing the same phone numbers, email providers and templates.

A shared, searchable record of those details is one of the few things that reliably interrupts the cycle. Every report here makes it a little harder for the same seller to catch the next buyer.

What we are
